Call Down the Hawk (Dreamer Trilogy, #1)
I’m done and still a little lost, I think the author jumped into this fantasy (?) world too fast and didn’t spend enough effort going back to set the stage. The premise has a lot of potential, would be cool to see it made into a mini series or movie.

Lore
Don’t skip a page or you will be completely lost. The hero cycle is a but contrived but the story in general is creative and interesting.

Call Me By Your Name (Call Me By Your Name, #1)
This was a struggle to get through. I felt like it was a very surface level story that was intended to be deeper.

Never Saw Me Coming
Entertaining page turner. Not the next great classic, but a good read none-the-less.

Home Before Dark
Creepy. Suspenseful in the same way a creek in the night is, while you know it likely is not ominous, the unknown source still causes hairs on the back of your neck to stand up.

Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom
I appreciated the simultaneous praising and criticizing of the man, ex-slave, leader, speaker, icon, father, grandfather, and husband. Only complaint is the length.
