I am happy to be back in Ms . Tilly's realm and imagination. I really struggled at times during this one because of the main character's portrayal... I truly don't recall that ever being an issue with the sorceress or her daughter, but it may be what drove me away from the Seams Like Murder series.

Sadly, this is the first "just for me" book I have managed to actually finish in a very long time!

I was immediately taken in by Sutherland's unique writing style, and she held my attention for the duration of the novel. It was a refreshingly unique setting and story, and her imagery was powerful. I genuinely enjoyed it.

wondering where it is all headed and when the plot will kick in?

Finally "clicked" at the Secret Santa party... in Ch 7 now and tediously heavy... hoping for some shifts soon.
