It’s taking quite a while for this book to get going

This is still fantastic

This is soo good

There’s a really interesting and moving story here however I am not loving the execution. I’m finding it a bit too simplistic. I do understand this is a debut novel but I don’t know

Ohhh I’m going to have a lot to say about this book when I’m done and I don’t think it’s going to be positive

I feel like I keep banging on about this but it is a recurring issue in adult fantasy debuts: tonally these books do not feel adult. They do not read adult. Writing an adult novel is so much more than just aging characters up and having explicit content.

Can someone tell me who wins the love triangle? I just want to know who I should root for 😂
