We finished the book Iti and I. in this reread, I thought more about masculinity and colorism in particular how colorism informs jealousy in within a relationship but also how masculinity informs jealousy as well and house so much of the masculinity, toxic masculinity shown by tea, cakes, friends reminded me a lot of these podcast dudes now.

So far I really love her voice

I’m not vibing with the prose. The emotional impact isn’t as strong as it needs to be and I’m wondering if it’s because there’s a lack of strong physical description. In lots of ways the prose feels like it’s for a younger audience and it doesn’t feel like it’s meeting the emotional content of the story but it’s fast moving so I’m still reading
