Bottom pg 102, Hay now claims that Mad Max: Fury Road is not a feminist movie but an equalist one, because it's about both genders working together to fix society/solve a prob.

Feminism ≠ women better
Feminism = everyone equal regardless of gender (trans rights!)

Another example of her Libertarian ideals, I suppose.

"There have always been transgender people! The Native Americans called it 'two spirits' and it was considered a great honor." [pg 85]

1. Transgender ≠ two-spirit. Some people surely claim both labels, but they don't necessarily describe the same experience.

2. "Great honor" to be one, have one in your tribe, sleep with one, what?

3. American Indians and two-spirit people still exist in the present...

Pgs 174-175 assert that the increase in racism in colonial N. America was tied to the policing of women's behavior during witch hysteria, but does not actually explain how, just rephrases the statement in various ways, with a couple references that are also not explanations or reasons. At least, it hasn't been explained so far, but there are more chapters on white N. American witch persecution to come.

I've learned that it seems nearly all yogis, swamis, and lamas have an infectious sense of humor and optimism. How could you not, once you've realized your oneness with God? Life is the ultimate joke - but not a mean-spirited one! It is only full of love and light.
