All other reading is on hold while I plough through this monstrosity. Why do I do this to myself? Is it because I was so blown away by the first book that I want to see the story through? Right now I feel like I'm living through the last years of Cromwell. In. Real. Time. Get a grip editors. Do your job & put readers first not an obsessed writer who doesn't want to say goodbye to her most successful creation.

The approach is very friendly and reads like you are having a chat with the writer, which may make it easier for some to f

Not everyone's cup of tea, but the whole book is a fascinating study of the development of writing, particularly punctuation, through copious examples of historical manuscripts

Finished book1 Sci fi for sure but relationship between the worlds of the alternating narrators is far from clear. Understandable that some tire quickly of repetitiveness & obsessions such as breast size
