Poems I will keep coming back to, a beautiful and meaningful anthology

This is a classic piece of Scottish literature so wanted to familiarise myself with it. However, it is difficult to find the appropriate time to read it - definitely not a ‘before bed’ read, the imagery is both terrifying and fantastical at times it was effecting my dreams. I think it will be a book I read slowly over many years.

I am halfway through reading this but not finding it hugely interesting - should I persevere? I find the email format chapters a bit disconnected and pretentious..Wanted a light summer read but as a queer lesbian lots of PVing straight sex scenes was not what I was expecting/into 😂
