camus is definitely one of my favorite 20th century authors - his writing is so clear yet hides some really complex ideas beneath it. i don’t know why some people think reading his stuff feels like work, because it really doesn’t. (this is only my 2nd book after the stranger, haven’t read the fall, don’t quote me on this).
