As of now, the book is proving to be absolutely amazing. The fact that the EIC started corporate lobbying in the 1600s and that is what led to 200 years of oppression, was something that nobody talks of anywhere. Dalrymple, as usual, has made his mark and will be remembered for giving an honest narrative in an age where history is easily distorted in India.
I'll change this review when I read more of this book.
