Getting back to this book after several years thanks to some upcoming projects for which it will be relevant

I tried reading this once years ago but wasn’t a fan and gave it up. Now that I’ve read and enjoyed a lot more of the Discworld books I figured I should go back and give this another try to try to get the Rincewind sub-series in).

Read this about 20 years ago (it was the first Discworld book I ever read) but I’m rereading it (this time listening to the Penguin / Audible audiobook) now that I’m reading the other City Watch books.

I last read this book in high school English, but never tried the rest of the series. The teacher in whose class I read it—who loved the series—passed away recently, so I want to give the book another reading so I can try more of the series in his memory.

Inspired to reread this after watching the musical (the first professionally-performed musical I ever saw when I was 11, which led me to the book a few years later) streaming this weekend
