There only 3 of them left. Its easier to guess who is going next because of the poem. But as the number of characters are dying the possibility that someone else being the murderer is increasing. I for sure can now say there is one unknown person on the island. I hope the end is not plane and boring.

The book is keeping me on my toes. A definite page turner. I attempted to watch the BBC original side by side but couldn’t stand it. The book is far more exciting than the show. I think that the butler Mr. Rogers is the murderer. I also believe that Mr. Rogers may have a twin. No way that guy moves so fast.

My god! The love letter from Edith was so touching. Zweig is master of capturing human emotions. He has so effortlessly written about the intricacies of diverse human emotions. Respect ✊🏼

It may not be evident to a casual reader that this book is written with great care. Eco himself has mentioned that it took him 10 years to write the novel and I completely believe him. He must have carried extensive research in medieval theology and other fields of study.

Thought is essential at certain levels but when thought projects itself psychologically as the future and the past, creating fear as well as pleasure, the mind is made dull and therefore inaction is inevitable.

I’m finding this book enjoying despite its long length and lack of a plausible plot. This is how Murkami novels are. Its about ordinary people living ordinary life. However the narrator has this exceptional ability at looking closely at world and feeling it deeply. This is so much similar to Kafka on the shore

Apparently, horses are tremendously influenced by the phases of the moon—both physically and emotionally. Their brain waves go wild as the full moon approaches, and they start having all kinds of physical problems. Then, on the night itself, a lot of them get sick, and a huge number of those die. Nobody really knows why this happens, but the statistics prove that it does. Horse vets never have time to sleep...

This is a spiritual book. If we were to plot love as a spectrum of lust, desire, necessity, spirituality, etc and associate a book with each one this property then ‘Fifty Shades of grey’ and this book are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Fifty shades exploring the materialistic side of love: lust, desire, procreation while this book explores spiritual aspect of love. I’m gonna love it.
