I was hooked from the first paragraph. More to follow when I come up for air. A sit down read through if there was ever one.

The weaving together of each personal history towards the whole in context of background is amazing!

Like a Fox in a Hole.....this book is incredibly spellbinding. It maintains an air of nostalgia w/o sweetness, period with candid awareness of the time, but most of all the language is wonderful.

Could not finish. Really didn't get into the writing style. It is possible that the translator did not do the author justice.

I am overwhelmed with the telling of this tale. What a man and life. Two of my favorite things are part of Hughes history: Paris and Freighters. Highly recommend to anyone to gain a better understanding of this great poets life.

So far, this book is blowing my mind. The style of writing is very different than I am accustomed to seeing employed, and this makes for a cerebral exercise. Am truly enjoying the development of western science in its stirrings.

At this moment it is hard to put this down. I am hoping that a bigger surprise is waiting for me just after this last one!!!
