The more I read this the more I realize that Andy Weir should just stick to stranded middle-aged white characters. He can’t write women, much less a cast of characters, when everyone sounds the absolute same. Scientists? Rich people? Different cultures? Different identified genders? All of them, the absolute same.

This one is off to a rough start. Jazz doesn’t read well as a character, and the amount of odd focus on racism and even a mention of the “aryan ideal” in description of another character. It just feels…off…from The Martian and PHM

Not going to lie. This is not good, but it’s not bad enough that I won’t see it through
