So far, wonderful. I took a two-week break from it as it was a little dark for coronavirus quarantine anxieties, but returned to it this evening and went right back to enjoying it.

This book is wonderful. I have just finished the fourth chapter, on Japanese poetry. Five more chapters and I am savoring each one.

This is slow and dense reading--quite interesting, but it is also quite a long book so I may be at this awhile. Problem is, my favorite Auden poems tend to be his later ones and so I sometimes find myself wishing I were reading "Later Auden" instead.
