okay I am embarrassed to admit that I was lowkey a hater at first but now I am totally absorbed!! sometimes bad writing can become so good in being bad or at least mid! the story is just so engaging like kpop competition shows

alien kpop american idol book…..writing is not the best but lowkey even tho I was hating at first bc it is kinda goofy the story has potential (silliness and glee potential)!

I feel like a lot of people in their reviews are not liking this book bc it isn’t an immersive novel…but there are plenty of non-immersive characters that people love (like the protagonist of secretary, cathy ames even)…maybe it is the recency of the booker nomination and the rise of trying too hard litfic that made ppl a lil biased…plus I don’t think we are supposed to like or identify with him anyways

getting older and wiser and more disillusioned does not really help in making this any clearer but I am still will the program
