Can someone tell me if this book comes together in any more connected way aside from, vaguely and peripherally, different unrelated trees? It wasn't my intention to start a really long collection of short stories, and it's not holding me, but since I'm 25% in (which feels like forever with this book), my susceptibility to Sunk Costs fallacy wants to know: if I quit now, am I missing some worthwhile payoff at the end?

I have no idea how this book ended up on my Kindle. (Kind of spooky, considering the name). So I'm reading is. It's fine.

Started this long ago, at the wrong time. Picked it up again two nights ago, and now I'm in.

What a brilliant little book this is turning out to be, but I should have saved it for the depths of winter.

So far this reads more like a screenplay than a novel.

Realized I don't need to read a book I'm not interested in while I wait for my next batch of books, when I can read this for the 100th time.

Started this mostly because it's one of the only books at home that I haven't read, while I wait for new books to ship from half.com

I really wish I didn't have this obsessive issue of having to finish a book I started, because I'm really, really really not enjoying this.

Kingsolver, what gives? This book smells like incense and "wyld wyman power". The sex scenes are so cheesey that they make me embarassed.
