My first impression is how nicely produced and illustrated it is. Nice to hold and handle - I think AT would have been pleased!

I decided after a chapter that this was unreadable. Riddled with grammatical errors (and it was at times almost impossible to tell was being referred to by pronouns_ and full of speculation and anachronistic assumptions about a person's mindset. I'd thought I would be quite happy to read a piece of popular history, but was quickly disabused.

Just started - and enjoying very much.

I'm rather horrified to realise that I only have one instalment of this series left when I finish Nine of Wands. So, assuming the author is going to work his way right down to One, I sincerely hope he's using this lockdown to work very hard at his writing!!

Immediately like a breath of fresh air, I like it! Dryly witty without overdoing it, nicely suggestive back story (has Lady H. been spying for the British Empire?)... Definite promise!
