Highly recommend the audiobook narrated by Andy Serkis! Also, I like that Tolkien has developed multiple languages and histories, written all these songs (a little bit overkill, IMO), and yet he still decided to name two different characters Fatty (I realize one is a nickname, but still.)

Rereading in honor of Banned Book Week

It is time for a comfort re-read! (either my 3rd of 4th time reading?) One of my favorite Meg Cabot series and I still think they should make it into a TV miniseries.

Am I starting out 2023 by re-reading Meg Cabot? Yes, and I’M NOT SORRY.

This is either the 4th or 5th time I’ve re-read this and I regret nothing.

This is good, but it feels like I’ve been reading it for months and I’m only halfway through.

While I am not particularly enjoying this book so far, I will say that it gives at least a little bit more insight as to why Bella's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, when in Twilight, it seemed that her milkshake was a very bland vanilla. It is because she is new to town, and by default, interesting. Oh, also, PRETTY. However, the main draw for Edward seems to be the "soul mate" concept, which is annoying.
