loved her first book so much, had to give this a try even though I have heard not-great things. a little ways in and i still looove her writing style, but the story is very disturbing. main character is a young girl and she REALLY reads as a child. knowing that this moves into a relationship with her and the male lead is scary lmao. i am hoping it comes from a place of painting it as what it is (grooming, duh).

the only bad thing about this book is the lengthy philosophical rambles. am i just too dumb to understand or find them interesting?? so incredibly gruelling.

nevermind it slaps now. i think conversations with friends was also slow to start with from memory.
