After reading on loan, I went and bought this so that I can loan it to others.

This reads like a blood and guts soap opera. The only books I have taken longer than a week to read in the last 5 years are this and the 1st one.

well paced if very fanciful. a wonderful way to escape the day filled with people you would like to forget.

I'm still deciding who I want to win.

well it starts out with typical kids being typically cruel brats. makes me wonder why we have this as a required reading for entering 3rd graders.

starts out much better than the previous novel.

well, it is better than staring at the food in the oven. anything more than that would be asking too much

my husband managed to reattach the cover to the book. he is so handy when I'm standing there holding the cover in one hand and a poor naked book in the other. The story was wonderful enough to make getting the book fixed worth it.

stopping for now. tough read
