Why have I never read Agatha Christie before this is a delight

Super excited to see the second movie this week! I got this paperback a while ago and decided to finally start

Having the background context that this book was used as evidence in Oscar Wilde’s trial for his gay tendencies is so interesting. I’m inclined to say that this is some of the gayest writing I’ve ever read, like yeah, but also the inherent queerness of the writing/characters is arguably irrelevant to the story. The idea of reducing all the complexities of this novel down to that alone makes me so sad.

This book has officially made me cry and we are halfway through

Does this read like fanfiction? Yes. Yes it does. It’s cute and silly and unserious and that’s exactly what I came here for. Also I would take a bullet for Kingsley.
