I'm an avid fan and admirer of Sedaris' work. He was one of the first writers that made me fall in love with the essay as a form of literary artistry. I've read the near entirety of his catalog, and enjoy returning to many of his books again and again. I aspire to kind of ritualized creative practice. But, something was missing for me, I was surprisingly disappointed.
