I can’t with the catty 50/60 year old MIL who is written like a 15 year old. This is too much. DNF.

This book is wild, and not in a good way. I’m only a third in and the investigator is bouncing theories and discussing evidence with the top suspect’s wife and lawyer??? When would that ever happen? Then she starts playing detective at the crime scene which hasn’t been processed yet??? And why do they keep hinting at sexual tension in the middle of a double homicide??? Like pick a direction for this chaos.
