Trying to skim through ALLL the lame sex scenes is a chore - a lot of creepy male gazy-ness of women & girls - all on par for the 1980s horror paperback world. Some good eeriness & mystery but If any harm comes to that precious dog….

I do not scare easily, i read a lot, mostly horror, gothic or dark fiction books. Reading this last night, I was frozen in terror, even though I was surrounded by cuteness and comfort ( my dogs sleep on the bed). This book is a banger so far!

The narration by the author! 🔥 adapt it to film & he can play all the characters! Such a good story…dark, funny, heartfelt & creepy as hell.

How is this not on every best of list?! Super well written relatable characters, seamless dialogue, HoRRiFYingly creepy scares, a super interesting mystery, set partially in the 90s, I mean…..🔥
