My first non fiction for the year. Though America-centric, some very interesting points.

i dont know what this book/writing but I cant get enough of it and I’m reading at a unprecendented pace than ever before (or I assume so).

I initially thought it will be a chore to read as it is based in the 50s and involves trains that ran slow (a full day to go to Kyushu?!). But it actually added an extra flavor so good that this instantly became a classic in my book. I need to finish this soon.

The pages in this book is densed with text that I assumed it will be a long, hard read…

… but it reads smooth as butter. I dont know if it is the translations or the structure. But I love it so far.

Other than the lore of magick and the interesting paradoxes, everything else annoys me including Alice. Does it get better? I surely hope it does

- a great starting short story that I feel gives me a glimpse of what to expect for the rest
- the stark story of hope and hopelessness, naivety and progress from twins of a complex country was an interesting read indeed

Chapter 10 upsets me. I dont think this can recover from that but it is still interesting (definitely lower than 3.5 already)

I like good fast pace, no spoonfeeding introduction. But maybe this was somewhat in your face. I’m still intriguef so lets see

Joanna and Gus has a cameo in No. 1 Pencil (which was quite grim especially during the time it was written)

Aaahh exciting times ahead

This is the most fun I have reading a book in a very long time. I had Kong Ming and Eiko of the 'Ya Boy KongMing' as my imagined versions of Jiang and Rin.

I like the tone of chapter 1. This seems like a fun a read? And I missd reading for the longest time. Rin entertain me - and I meant that the wholesome-st way possible.

This book makes me excited to do my daily morning walks just so that I can listen to the audiobook! Very relatable writing and narration.

First time using Audible. Not bad - especially for this book I think. Andy Weir seems to have perfected the stories of space tragedy survival.

Bezos is ambitious and can be kinda asshole? I was thinking how hard it must have been to be in Amazon as an employee during the early days.

I think it is entertaining to watch as it is to read Svetlana and Sasha interact. Best characters in the first part of the book so far.
