Bought this from the author at Wondercon and I can't wait to read it

I've finished chapter one. I'm unreasonably angry that I need to put it down to go to work. The writing style, the way the author describes people and actions, it gives so much depth of character without being heavy on narration.

I may have read a worse book in my lifetime but I sure can't remember what. The writing is terrible. Not sure if this will be a DNF or if I'll keep reading out of some morbid curiosity as to just how much worse this can get

I still hate the main character, and most secondary characters. I don't expect perfect characters, I even identify better to flawed characters because they feel more real but this takes dislike to a new level. Nearly every person feels like an exaggerated caricature. I'm sticking with it, only because the plot is interesting.

I'm struggling with this book. I don't like the characters at all. Very hard to connect or care when they have so few qualities that make them likable.

You know a book was good when you immediate buy the follow up because you have a burning need to know what happens next.

I've read it before, but not in a long time. Still have dad's copy, first edition paper back that I'm reading. It's been well read over the years, that's for sure.

I can already tell that this book is going to make me cry

Super excited for this. I have the wondercon exclusive cover for the first volume of the comic. This is the first four comics in hardback form.

My father had this set of books and I've never read them - so no time like the present.

Got this from the library without realizing that I was missing book #4. Darn it! going to to give it a read and see if it makes sense or if I need to get the 4th from the library first.
