It is really sobering when I realised how short our life can be. And the time that we can parent our children is too short, once they leave for college or to another city, our relationship with them will be different, and I realised we have start to become empty nester and that we have aged. We need to have an eternal focus rather than just a short focus on earth.

How do we measure our standard of living? Most of the time it is set by the world and the media pushes it down to us. We should not measure our personal success by what the world thinks, it does not has an eternal value.

At the same time, the media tragets our subconscious mind, telling us we need more than we think.

"Do you know anyone who has won the rat race?" I don't think I knew anyone as well. Every rich person that I knew of, has never stopped working rather, they seem to work even harder and even have more projects.

However we need to know of any race in life that there had been winners and we need to be in that race! But regarding the rat race, what do we know of it? Is this all there is?
