The number of typos in this is astounding, especially compared with the first 2 books

Finally a book with consequences! I’ve seen too many where people’s actions don’t have real consequences, or if they do they are brushed aside.

Oof the microaggressions and racism in Sciona’s internal monologue can be hard to read, which I’m sure is intentional.

Wow, that was probably the best first chapter I have read in a long time. Very gripping.

I can already tell this is going to be a 5 stars book for me. Loving every minute!

The story is decent but I do find the chapters are too short and I keep getting frustrated by the POV switching too much.

I’m assuming this guy is supposed to be a love interest, but I keep thinking “girl are you for real? This guy is a psychopath!”

I thought this with the first book, but you can really tell this was written by a man. It’s a good book overall but some parts are just cringy for how sex focused they are.

Sadly another book that was hyped up on Booktok and didn’t live up to expectations. Very similar to many books in the genre. At this point the story is lagging and is just not very compelling.

Had high hopes for this but it’s not off to a great start. The writing feels juvenile and the obvious romance doesn’t feel genuine.

This is a good book but today was the second time I was reading it and thought wtf to something in it.

About halfway through this and really enjoying the complexity of the writing!

This book was published in 2010, but it really reads like it takes place in the '90s or something. I'm a bit confused by it. Wondering if it was written then?

Loving this book! This is my favourite Durst book I've come across. And after finishing Pearce's Wild Magic series, how refreshing is it to have the main character's mentor NOT become her love interest.

Bored out of my mind and not that far in, sadly.

An interesting concept but this is seeming to be a mcguffin chasing book. I'm predicting nothing really happens in this one.

This book is so good!!! Kind of sad it is shorter than the previous two though. I'm already about 3/4 through this.

Just finished chapter 8. I have some suspicions about what's going on, hoping I'm right. I'm ready for this to be an epic conclusion to the series.

Why is this priest so angry all the time?? He should never have become a priest but instead a monk so he could be solitary and paint.
