This book was outstanding. I loved the cat-and-mouse chase between the detective and the serial killer as it unfolded. The relationships between the characters added moments of humor, which helped balance an otherwise intense read. I also appreciated the internal conflict that emerges toward the end, adding depth and complexity to the story.
