a) Per adesso mi sembra un libro che vuole essere il meraviglioso Vacanze all'isola dei gabbiani (pubblicato dieci anni prima) ma non ci riesce
b) La maggiore delle sorelle, dodicenne, ha una crush per il giardiniere diciannovenne. Ok, ci sta. Il problema è che questa cosa viene fatta passare quasi per romantica e, soprattutto, sembra esserci interesse anche da parte di lui? WTFFFFFFF

The verbosity and endless descriptions are making me feel like I'm trying to swim through molasses :')

The first 100ish pages had me very confused, but now things are starting to make sense. The worldbuilding is my favourite part so far, love the idea of a high fantasy version of Venice

La storia è fighissima, ma andare avanti è una fatica immane. Non sono riuscita a leggere UNA pagina senza pensare almeno una volta "uhm, questa frase suona strana". Non capisco se è una questione di traduzione o proprio di come scrive Lynch 🤷🏻‍♀️
