An alternative universe in YA where dragon slaying is a family business, this one has a lot of exposition and world-building (typical in fantasy). I really love making the heir-apparent a “still scrawny” teenage guy with a musical protégée female MC. It’s easy to see why this one was an award winner.

A fake relationship between two people who couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Funny. Smart. Touching. An excellent read so far.
