Charlie is on page 26 of 176 of Scandalous: The Cross and Resurrection of Jesus (Re:Lit)
have heard a lot about the author but have never read anything by him before. That is all going to change. He is so good. Bringing out things from the passages of scripture I haven't seen before. Very helpful and clear.

Enjoying this book. Having read The Island I am glad this is as good. The author brings the characters to life and you really do get a sense of what life was like for them.

Excellent read. Didn't think a book about a leper colony would be my thing but I'm liking it. Very moving in parts.

looking forward to reading this. I visited his grave outside Criccieth(?), Wales as a young boy on a Church camp not knowing who he was or anything about him. Hopefully know a lot more by the end of the book.

Charlie is on page 41 of 208 of The Big Picture for Small Churches and Large Ones, Too!: How to Thrive and Survive as a Small Congregation
Encouraged to read this by a fellow minister this week. Glad I took his advice. Encouraged in the Lord and what He has done in the past and what He can still do today through small churches. Challenged me about one or two things as well.

Great read. Very readable. Gives a clear picture of the hardship these missionaries went through to take the good news of salvation to those who had never heard of Jesus.

Very useful and helpful read. Blows apart the argument that is levelled at 'the church' that they only gathered together the books they wanted to impose on people. Worth reading as it is relatively brief and a good appetiser for further reading.

Half way through this book and want to get it finished before New Year. A good read. Jobs comes across as not a nice man to work with or work for. Maybe he gets nicer as he gets older.

Charlie is on page 199 of 227 of Dangerous Calling: Confronting the Unique Challenges of Pastoral Ministry
two chapters to go and then I can pass it on. thought I might get a kindle edition but at over £10 I'd rather have a book version. Continued to challenge me about many aspects of my life and ministry. The author has a good way of showing how versions are seen in certain ways.

finding this book extremely challenging but helpful at the same time. I think it is one of those books that will need to be read again and again.

This is probably the most challenging book on the Ministry I have read. Like others who have read it I think this could be a book I read once each year.
