Started reading this book a few days ago while on a camping trip just to break up another longer book I've been reading. Enjoying it so far. It's historical fiction mixed with a bit of fantasy - similar to Guy Gavriel Kay although the prose is not at the same level.
Still, it's a well paced easy read for those who like light fantasy.

And so it begins.

It started off strong, but now it feels like it just keeps repeating the same formula. I may dnf this one, but before I do that I will read something else and come back to this later.

I'm having a hard time being interested. Going to put a pause on it and try again later.
Curse of the Mistwraith and Ships of Merior were amazing books. I think my biggest issue is that Fugitive Prince had a non-ending so this book just feels like one really long drawn out and repetitive story.
I need more time between books so it feels fresh again.

So far the best of the three.

An excellent book so far!
