Really hoped it will be an interesting story about, well, Mexican haunted house. What do we have instead half way through the book? Old rich English family, old (cursed?) English mansion, old racist English family head, old vast English cemetery.
Ok, maybe the main character brings smth to it? No, never mind, all her quotes and references are to English pop culture…

My niece sends a distress letter, her new husband and his family treats her poorly and most probably trying to poison her.
I trust her, as I don’t know her husband that well: the marriage was rushed and I think he is in for the money.

What should I do?

SEND MY DAUGHTER TO INVESTIGATE TO A SECLUDED VILLAGE THAT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A PHONE

She has her own plans?

So bad. Full of cliches, characters are very stupid. Dropping it
