Anna Kettle is reading The List of Suspicious Things
Really enjoyed this book. An easy read for summer & took me right back to late 70s / early 80s growing up in north of England

Anna Kettle is reading Pressure Off: Learning to embrace the gift of God’s grace
‘Pressure off’ is definitely a message I can get behind! Great, practical christian teaching which is applied to a range of personal, secular and church spaces - chapter by chapter. I appreciated the author’s honest voice in sharing parts of her own story. Also lots of discussion Qs to work through so you could use this in a small group/book club.

Anna Kettle is reading Our Missing Hearts
Loved this book - everyone should read it. Beautiful, challenging and hauntingly close to reality at some points too.

Anna Kettle is reading Spare
Insightful, interesting, and gave me much more insight into Royal life - but although I sympathise with Harry’s issues with the press, particularly following his mother’s death being chased by paps, I still don’t feel his recent behaviour is totally justified. It’s not his family’s fault, and it seems to me that he still wants to enjoy the many privileges of royal life/wealth/fame without the scrutiny.

Anna Kettle is reading The Dark Womb: Re-Conceiving Theology through Reproductive Loss
While my theology isn’t fully aligned with the author’s, I do identify with elements of her deconstruction of faith following the experience of recurrent miscarriage - and this book raises some helpful fresh perspectives

Anna Kettle is reading Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience
Such a useful resource, full of wisdom & advice - I read it end to end, but in my opinion it would work better as a book to dip in and out of, as it’s so dense. But certainly it’s one I will return to again and again.
