I’ve got to catch up to my reading goal

So far, I’m enjoying this one even more than the first. Some great political intrigue and a really well fleshed out world with a magic system that continues to grow more complex!

I... don't even know what to think about this. It's so all over the place.

I made it to part two!

So far, I have many thoughts about it, but Luann and Derrick are the best parts of the book. I also like the exploration of redemption through recovery and acceptance. It has some good parts, but it’s also a lot of tell don’t show and I don’t appreciate that as much.

In other news, “guffawed heterosexually” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read.

I’m both confused and captivated

The book is good, I just feel like there are parts where I’m getting distracted too easily. The story itself is interesting, but there’s a point of view that I sometimes feel is pointless and not as fleshed out, and I just want to experience the main character’s thoughts, especially since I’ve experienced so much more time with her.

This book is long

There is so much going on

“We are the dead.” “We’re not dead yet.”

The more I read, the more I realize that I’ve gotten myself into a bind

I cannot believe that I am reading this series right now
