Kate Quinn has had some bangers in historical fiction and I will happily recommend all of them. This book is fantasy and sort of similar to Matt Haig's Midnight Library. I think people who are expecting something similar to her previous books may be surprised. This.is a simpler fantasy. Still enjoyable, but different.

So this is not a book I expected to be into. It's been a minute since I have read a dynastic/generational story, and I know next to nothing about Middle Eastern culture. But I picked it up to listen to now that I am commuting to work again. The only place I can listen to CDs is in my car, so I have stopped by the library the last couple of days to read some of the book. I can't wait to see if she sticks the landing

I am so hooked on this book.
