Who knew it’d be Marlovair’s POV that would finally have this story grip my heart? I did not. Well done, S. Smith.

Okay, I’m settled into the POV and the story has a grip on my mind, now. I’m enjoying it, but the question that has yet to be answered is: will it grip my heart?
Smith continues to be a master at diction and command of the elements of language.

I love Crown Duel/Court Duel (my #1 favorite book). So, when I discovered A Stranger to Command, I was interested to see how the Marquis of Shevraeth became who he was in CD^2. So far, it’s been a completely different experience with the third person omniscient pov. I’m not enchanted, but I’m still curious at this point with a bit of a “blah” taste in my mouth due to the POV. We shall see!
