A lot of pontificating in the book. Some of it I agree with, and some I don't. It's still wacky and amusing enough for me to finish it, so hopefully I will before New Years.

Really tired of all the bad language in this one.

Sometimes this book is jaw-droppingly disturbing and gives me nightmares, and the rest of the time it is so dry and academic that I practically fall asleep. I have no idea how to translate that into a star rating.

Can we please all agree the Kennedys should do themselves a favor and permanently retire from public life? Yes, all of them. Bye, RFK.

I love this book! But I ran out of time on my library hold, and now I'm stuck waiting six weeks to finish it. :P

As a Baptist, there are things in this book I agree with and things I don't. All of it has been very interesting.

I love the show, and the book is even better (with fewer F-words, much appreciated).

Why haven't I read this book before now??? Especially lovely as an audiobook.

Most of this book is not new information to me. I'm puzzled why she tends to dwell on behind the scenes politics of the different groups like Homeschoolers Anonymous. I think it does a disservice to the rest of the halfway decent reporting. I also don't think the parts that are her own memoir belong in this book.

I'm questioning whether it was a good idea to get this as an audiobook. I'm definitely glad I got it from the library and didn't pay for it.

It’s just so bad. This book is so so so bad.

The ONLY reason I am reading this absolutely awful book is I want to understand what John C. Lennox is responding to in 2084.

This book was good until it wasn't. I'm pretty sure I won't be a fan of the ending. We'll see.

This book is too long. I always feel this way about fantasy. I don't know why I thought I would feel differently about this one.

We have supposed that the way to help people be holy is to just tell them to “stop sinning,” when in fact, lasting transformation is a spiritual consequence of beholding the glory of the Lord (2 Cor. 3:18)

What I am trying to get at is that somewhere lurking at the bottom of our unbelief is the thought that God isn’t holy. One goal of this work you’re holding is to prove that “if” doesn’t belong in front of “God is holy.” Since He is, as the following chapters show, He can and should be trusted.

I never considered that someone might actually try to study reincarnation using scientific methods. Things that make you go “hmm.”

So I figured out the “big twist” that the author was building toward and accidentally saw a spoiler on another review that confirmed it (PUT SPOILER WARNINGS ON YOUR REVIEWS PEOPLE).

And now I don’t feel like finishing it because I’m annoyed the twist was so obvious and don’t care about how the characters get there. Oops.
