After reading the first part of the book, I see there are a lot of things happening at once. Like, those who ask questions or don’t follow the crowd are seen as crazy for doing so. The people in the world our main character is in are desensitized, having multiple distractions around them, and seem to believe what they’re being told about books and the history of firefighters. I’m looking forward to reading on!

It’s interesting to learn about men in education. As Reeves was going through the statistics, I looked at the university I graduated from and saw what he was describing. There were more women on campus than men, there were more women at my graduation than men, etc. I can’t wait to read more of this book!

Imaginary lines, naked men, and people not listening. Minny chapters are the best

The whole initiation process and the trial of the members were so insane to read about. It shows that gangs can be as organized and act like a business, but then can kill you in an instant.

It’s always interesting to read and learn about those who joined the gang life. It sounds like something out of a horror movie most of the time, but things like extreme racism are sadly all too true.
