There's a lot to like here, but unfortunately there's This One Character who is such an over-the-top hate sink that I'm dreading every scene he's in

Book club book! I'd complain about what a brick it is, but I picked it. Really interesting so far!

Almost done, this is definitely one of my best books of the year.

Succession is so quietly sad, and makes me wish we got to see more of Temeraire's brother.

My favorite of the lot- gotta love it when the author writes a canon AU of her own characters' first meeting.

Book club book. On one hand, there's been several genuinely sweet bits amid the beach read-y hallmark feel. On the other hand, I keep getting bored and wandering off to go read about dragons.
