Out of all of the books in this series, the plot in this one is by far the best. It has the most character development so far. I’m sucked in and can’t wait to finish the series.

I don’t think Holly’s writing style is for me. I was so excited to start this series and was let down with book one… Book two really isn’t much better yet.

The beginning made me feel like I was reading a high school girl’s fanfic, but the farther I get into the book, the better it is. The character development and world building has me hooked on every word. I cannot stand Adonis already; the same hatred I felt for Dain in Fourth Wing.

Chapter 16 made me queasy after reading about Blake… The character development for Alex is intriguing. I’m curious to see where she ends up in the story, it seems like she’s teetering between protagonist and antagonist.

The world building was a tad slow for my taste, but now that I’m through it, the plot has sucked me in. Im hooked.

First book of 2024!!!
