So far an extremely tedious read; I have not cracked the faintest feather of a smile let alone laughed. There is no plot, the sequence of events feels choppy and counter-intuitive, and the prose is likewise.
Having to put this one on the backburner while I regain my energies with a book that's actually fun before I attempt to pursue this any further as I'm not quite ready to give up on it entirely.

So excited to discover a mobile library in my area. I've got a big juicy pile of books to keep me going for the rest of the summer holidays -- and not a penny spent, whoo-whoo!

This reading challenge is a bit sucky because I've noticed that books I've re-read have been removed from previous years' challenges, rendering them incomplete. Also, some years' challenges have clean disappeared. Am I the only one this is happening to?

So far, reading Jurassic Park has given me the same feelings I experienced when I read The Jungle Book for the first time. I am both delighted and shooketh. More in a review once I've finished.

That moment when your reluctant-reader niece announces that she's getting into books, and you realise it's 2:36am and you've spent five hours researching great books to hound her with while the moment is ripe xD

Re-reading aloud to my sister.

After having failed to complete reading Anne of Green Gables in the past, I am now listening to the audiobook and much preferring the story in this way.

I'm bored of hearing about Eren's existential crisis and I'm sick to the back teeth of Mikasa's obsession with him, and I'm disappointed in Armin, Jean and Connie for falling for Eren's toadstools...
Not to mention, I've about had it with alternate-realities and multiple-choice endings. What happened to decisive story-telling?
Not feeling too optimistic for the conclusion of this series. Heigh-ho.

Really chuffed because I've got my self-confessed picky-reader of a niece hooked on the Ruby Redfort series by Lauren Child. This is after I got her into the Fairy Unicorn books by Zanna Davidson. So I'm feeling like the fairy godmother of books at the moment, heheheh...

An eerie, mysterious read. Really enjoying it so far!

Making a start on my second "Western" of 2017.

How - just HOW - do some people read over 150 books every year!? A couple years ago I barely managed 100 and many of them were picture books/manga. Yet I'm seeing Goodreads'ers caning thick novels in their hundreds every year before the year's even half done! It boggles my mind. I take a full day to read 200-300 pages! Amazing. And here I thought I read a lot!

*Looks at Reading Challenge status* 9 books ahead of schedule? Yes, it does look like I'm rushing through my books to stay ahead, exactly as I'd promised myself I wouldn't. But I'm not! It's just that another of my 2017 goals was to pay the nearest library a visit at least once a month, and when one has so many new books at one's disposal so frequently, how can one stop oneself from devouring them all at top speed?
