Amazing. The heat of LA and the smell of NY come through in Babitz amazing storytelling. My fav so far.

Amazing heart wrenching writing from Dr. Gay. I’ve read a few of the columns before but the power with which she presents arguments and anger have no match.

It’s hilarious but has gone on long enough.

What a total piece of trash. Vulgar, misogynistic and down right vile. It has no redeeming qualities. No plot. No meaning. No well constructed sentences. Can only imagine that the shock value is what made this book famous and certainly not any amount of literary worth. Negative 5 stars.

I’m not sure I’ll ever finish this.
