A very likable, readable and realistic account full of experience and insight on the ground and above. The predictable lack of in-depth policy or political commentary is characteristic of the genre and not much is new but there is no shortage humor and truth, giving a healthy portrait similar to other cross-cultural memoirs but with the bonus of relatability from the author’s English fluency and roots in America.
