Excellent book, but why so many damn spoilers for the movies discussed???

Fun mindbender of a novel! Not 100% sure it stuck the landing, I'm still pondering it. But it's a very smart, cool head trip, I enjoyed it. One of the better non-Expanse science fiction novels I've read in awhile.

Waaaay beyond dark. Wow. I'm not particularly squeamish, but damn. Still reading, for some reason. Actually, the reason is it's well written and grimly compelling. I want to know the "why?" of this.

This book is fascinating so far. as the title suggests, a very quick - but not dumbed-down - overview. Tyson's style of addressing you like a reasonably intelligent layperson is perfect. He also narrates the audiobook himself, which is brilliant, I could listen enraptured to him read the phone book.

15% in. Absolutely riveting thus far. I think we might possibly have one of my favorite literary things ever - an unreliable narrator - but I'm not sure yet.

Ahhhh....a new Tana French novel to savor. She runs laps around other crime novelists.

Every bit as well-written, dense, and fascinating as I hoped it would be. For someone like me who's interested in both WWII and classic film, it is a feast.

Another riveting, superbly written novel by Ms. French. She is the cream of the crime fiction crop. And thankfully she would never use a hoary old cliche such as the preceding in her work.
