This book is a metaphor not a book about a love affair of indecency- the scarlet letter is about Saturn and the 7 years of trial one undergoes by HER- there are Saturn returns at the age of 27 and since birth in sequence of 7 year blocks there is a trial period that you must undergo- pass the test and live happily fail and be tested again and again still you always get tested but there are rewards

So far the immense fear of knowledge and wisdom /insight in a woman or even boy makes for fodder
