I have strong feelings about this book already. Ugh.

Keeping in mind that it's a YA novel, i'm still turned off by the language. After teaching for 15 years the language used here is not how teens speak, it's how adults think teens speak. (ie, "pot buzz", "the shade of an unripe plum")

This book is terrible. The writing is simple and immature. The characters are flat and unlikable. The plot is predictable. I'm only finishing it to see why everyone likes it so much.

This is very dry and factual. Rather difficult to focus on, despite being really interesting. Taking a break from it, may come back and try again.

I loved Part 2 about Walter and Ida

DNF at 29%. I am not interested in the story, or the characters. This one was over-hyped for me.
Though, in it's defense, i do not like fantasy.

Just can't get into it. Maybe I'll try later...
