It's beautiful, but so opaque!

It's amazing how much of a Nazi the Nazi diarist is. You would expect to find conflict and humanity in a diary--but he writes like Hitler is reading over his shoulder.

It's good... very Jesusy. Two things stood out-- in a book about Far Right Christian Extremism, she found space to denigrate non Christians. And she complains about "cancel culture" WHILE saying it's important to hold the radicalized accountable and have consequences for hateful behavior.

Oy. Really smart on the groundwork and then really dumb in the philosophy part. It's a book on religious extremism and she found time to shit on people who aren't religious.

Loving it so far. I have still-forming thoughts about his ability to scrutinize underlying assumptions of Christianity so closely and remain a Christian.

Oh my god I don't caaaaaare. I don't know how Amazon managed to make an amazing series out of this.

This is a buy. I hope the next one has more Vielissar, and that they don't try to stuff all the remaining plot into one book.
