Finally a series that feels different! Dark romance that doesn't feel like basic tropes, magic/fantasy, sexual but not the focus, so much lore, and realistic character arcs. Not complaining about the writing either!

Love the slavic mythology and lore!!

My mind is already giving this 5 stars. I temporarily forgot how much I love Matt Haige's work! Empathetic, funny, and philosophical- I'm about to highlight like a mad woman up in here.

I'm having trouble with this audiobook. I feel like the trilogy stories are too similar and I have a preconceived notion that this won't beat book #2.

I love series that follow new, but closely connected characters from their own POV (has anyone read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series? One of my first "connected standalones" I fell in love with). I wanted this to be a shorter version of that but it's falling short

DNF I'm so bored. This world could have been so cool though!

Vampire smut, sexual power exchanges, polyamorous MMF dynamics.... The only thing that could make this better is a real well written plot. We shall see as I progress, but I'm happy to be here 😈

This is a book I'll have to take notes on if I want to explain it's findings in a casual conversation. I'm thuroughly enjoying the science and shamelessly using olive oil on everything I cook. Excited to support my brain!
